Rick Baldwin agreed, after many requests from Teddie, to perform in this year’s DWTS-Jackson County Style competition. An electrical engineer, he coordinates the Engineering and Operations for the Jefferson District of Jackson EMC. Rick and his wife Tracy have two sons, Joshua and Timothy. Rick has never danced before and is looking forward to teaming up with his pro Emily, and showing how great of a teacher she is.
Your vote for Emily and Rick will support Lindsay’s Legacy, which provides friendship based mentoring for students in Jackson Co.
EMILY WILBANKS – Professional Dancer
Emily Wilbanks discovered her love of dance when she started working with Kim Sellers at Commerce School of Dance – at age three! Later she attended Brenau University and earned a B.F.A. in Dance Performance. While at Brenau she was a member of the Brenau Dance Ensemble, an educational outreach program. She also performed both student and faculty choreography. She joined the Gainesville Ballet in 2009 and trained under Diana Callahan, where she performed several demi-soloist roles in the annual Nutcracker.
Currently, Emily is Director of Dance at Claudia’s Dance Academy in Flowery Branch where she teaches ballet, tap, and jazz to students three though twelve. At last year’s Dancing with the Stars – Jackson County Style! event, she demonstrated that she is also a very talented Swing Ballroom dancer! Welcome back, Emily.
